WELCOME TO EAST METRO SPORTS
East Metro Sports in Conyers, GA is more than just a sports facility. We are here to build a dynamic community in Georgia. One that the each and every person, participant or not, can be proud of. We want to use sports as a way to impress and improve upon the lives of our youth and their families. Give them a safe place to go and work towards becoming great in whatever it is that they want to be great in. After home and school, it’s often athletic fields and facilities that become the “third place” for so many kids. As such, we take our responsibility in this community very seriously. The founder of East Metro Sports, LLC and East Metro Sports Foundation, Montilia "Monni" Tripp, has volunteered his time as a Basketball and Softball Coach in the East Metro community for 11 of the past 14 years. He has taught many of the kids in the community in middle school, where at Clements Middle he was a 6th Grade Math Teacher for 5 years (2014-2019). Also, while serving as a teacher, he was the Head Boys Basketball Coach (overall record 52-8) for 4 years, Head Boys and Girls Track Coach for 3 years, and Assistant Football Coach for 3 years. Coach Tripp, as he is affectionately called, decided that he could help our community more with East Metro Sports than as a teacher. He believes our youth need more help with their education outside of school and home and vows to be that bridge that brings school and home together.
MISSION
East Metro Sports' mission is to empower the community in Georgia to become productive citizens and promote accountability for education, fitness, and wellness without excuses in our daily lives.
CORE VALUES
At the absolute core of East Metro Sports is education. We want our community in Covington, GA and Conyers, GA and the surrounding areas to be well-rounded mentally, physically and spiritually. Not only our youth, but our adults and Seniors as well. We believe that our community is better off when we are learning, growing and moving.

B-BALL ACADEMY
Our B-Ball Academy is about much more than just basketball. Don’t get us wrong — we love basketball and will definitely be in training and on the courts with our academy members. However, we provide much more than that. The East Metro Sports B-Ball Academy in Conyers, GA is an after-school program that is designed to provide after-school care, extra help in math and ELA, and resources such as computers to work on study projects. After all educational work is complete for the day, basketball training will begin.
